Hot-Swap Power Supplies for Rack Mount Systems

Single, fully redundant or N+1, power supplies are often used in mission-critical rack mount systems such as servers, telecom high-density switches, medical, and other rack mount appliances. Most frequently, COTS supplies are used and most are single output such as the popular CRPS standard set by Intel®. Numerous supply companies have adopted this standard and are available in 250 watts to 3,000 watts and are fully interchangeable. Hot-swap power supplies typically need an interposer board to compensate for the mismatching between PCB elevations. We design, manufacture, and integrate these interposer boards. If needed, we can take advantage of this interposer board by taking the single rail of a COTS supply and dividing it into multiple rails to suit your application.
