Electronic Enclosures, Inc. Conflict Minerals Statement

Electronic Enclosures, Inc. (EEi) is concerned that minerals mined in Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and surrounding regions may be funding armed conflicts, human rights abuses, and environmental deterioration.

We manufacture either to our design documentation or yours, (typically your PCBAs using your Gerbers and BOMs). We must assume that specified components would be compliant.

In 2010 the United States passed legislation, section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Reform Act, which regulates the due diligence and the reporting programs of US publicly traded companies that sell products containing “Conflict Minerals.” On January 1st, 2021 the EU adopted similar legislation to assist in ending unethical trade in the four minerals: Tungsten, Tantalum, Tin, and Gold (aka 3TG).

We strive to procure components and materials from suppliers that exhibit their commitment to human rights, ethics, and environmental responsibility.

Tungsten: Used in the fabrication of electronic and electrical components.
Tantalum: Used to fabricate capacitors and other electronic components.
Tin: Used in manufacturing PCB assemblies, solder, and in plating of finished electronic components.
Gold: Used as a plating finish on PC boards, components, connector contacts, and other electrical parts.
